Phil Ivey will not have a shot at winning $6,180,000 as the Poker Hall of Famer was eliminated on the money bubble of the $200,000 buy-in Triton Invitational at the Montenegro Super High Roller Series.
The Triton Invitational drew a record-setting 133 entries with pairings of VIP invitees and professional poker players, who played separately on Day 1 before combining on Day 2.
Day 2 wrapped with 11 players remaining and Azerbaijan's Javid Ismayilov leading the way in front of the likes of Eric Wasserson, Joni Jouhkimainen and Seth Davies, who is fresh off winning his first Trition title.

Ivey Bubbles in Blind Versus Blind Cooler
Ivey's elimination took place with 24 players left and 23 spots paid. Facing a raise from Maher Nouira in the small blind, Ivey moved all in from the big blind before Nouira called to put him at risk.
Ivey showed A♥K♠to be flipping against the J♠J♦of his opponent. Ivey couldn't hit an ace or king as the board ran out 7♣5♣4♥8♦8♠to mark the Poker Hall of Famer's elimination just outside the money in an event that will award $6,180,000 to the winner.

This isn't the first major event Ivey has bubbled. In 2023, he bubbled the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $250,000 Super High Roller as his ace-three couldn't improve against the pocket queens of Martin Kabrhel.
Nor was it the only heartbreaking hand for Ivey in the Triton Invitational. Earlier in the event, he held pocket kings in a three-way all-in only for Brian Kim to make quad aces with ace-four for an emphatic triple-up.
Day 2 Action
Day 2 played for more than 12 hours, and those who fell ahead of the money included Steve O'Dwyer, Kristen Foxen, Bryn Kenney, Dan Smith, Jessica Teusl and Daniel Dvoress.
Another player to fall ahead of the money was fan-favorite Vladimir "Gambledore" Korzinin, who Canadian high-stakes pro Sam Greenwood spoke about battling against in a new episode of the PokerNewsLife Outside Pokerpodcast.
China's Esti Wang was the first in-the-money elimination, followed by Triton founder Paul Phua (18th - $335,000), Artur Martirosian (14th - $412,000), DoorDash founder Stanley Tang (13th - $452,000) and Sergio Aido (12th - $452,000), who was the final elimination of the day.
Javid Ismayilov ended the day in front with 68 big blinds as he looks for his first major poker title after partnering up with high-stakes pro Aleksejs Ponakovs. The same is true for Montenegro local Aleksa Pavićević, who sits second in chips after outlasting his pro partner and recent Triton winner Alex Foxen.
The pros left standing after Day 2 include American high-stakes players Eric Wasserson, Taylor von Kriegenbergh and Seth Davies and Finnish pro Joni Jouhkimainen.
