The latest match-up pitted team captains Ryan Stiner and Steven Jones, best known for his deep run in the 2023 WSOP Main Event, against one another in the $2,000 Lone Butte Poker High Roller at Arizona's Gila River Resorts & Casino that took place Nov. 22-24.

Team Jones consisted of Jones, Colton Blomberg, Tyler Hancock, Justin Pechie, Jonah Labranche and Tanner Lefferts, while Team Stiner was made up of Stiner, Lawrence Brandt, Brandon Mitchell, Kai Cohen, Danny Allen and Greg Orlick.

The exciting matchup saw Team Jones coming out on top over Team Steiner in the high-roller event. That meant victory for anyone who staked Team Jones on StakeKings.

Teams Jones earned the victory despite its captain being eliminated in 21st place in an unfortunate cooler where he ran kings into aces. Stiner and Pechie were the two remaining players for each team and Pechie stuck around the longest to lock up the victory.

As part of the promotion of the event, the Scottsdale-based Jones held a meet-up game on Nov. 21 where he played with fans who saw him win millions two summers ago in the WSOP Main Event.

Knowing when to stop playing a slot machine or game altogether is one of the most important skills a player can acquire. Recognizing when emotions are running high or when losses are mounting can help avoid additional financial strain and emotional distress; this ability requires self-awareness and discipline. Establishing time and money spending caps can be useful guidelines for figuring out when to leave the gaming environment. Also, a more positive attitude toward gambling can be promoted by acknowledging losses without moping about them and celebrating victories, no matter how minor. If you frequently lose or become frustrated while playing, it might be a good idea to take a break or stop playing for a while.
