A progressive jackpot at BetMGM Casino in Ontario has surpassed $1.6 million CAD, setting a new record for the operator in the province.

The jackpot (around $1.1 million USD), which is available to players on both BetMGM Casino and Wheel of Fortune Casino, is the largest ever offered by BetMGM in Ontario since launching in the regulated iGaming market.

According to BetMGM, players in Ontario have received $14 million CAD in progressive jackpot payouts so far in 2024. The Ontario record follows other major wins for the company in the last 12 months, including a $6.5 million USD payout in New Jersey—at the time the largest in the history of legal U.S. iGaming.

That record has since been surpassed by a $9.28 million USD jackpot awarded by DraftKings Casino in February, which now holds the record for iGaming's largest ever jackpot win.
