Prizes up to Rs. 1 Lakh can be redeemed at a District Lottery Office.
Winnings above Rs. 1 Lakh must be claimed from the office of the Director of State Lotteries, located in Thiruvananthapuram, or from a bank - details are below. You must sign your name and write your name and address on the back of the winning ticket. You will also need to provide the following documents:
- Claim application and copy of both sides of the ticket
- Two passport-sized photos of the winner, confirmed by a Gazetted Officer or Notary
- A receipt form
- A guardianship certificate, if the winner is a minor
- Joint declaration, if there is a joint claim
- Copy of the PAN card
- Identity document such as Ration Card, Driving License, Passport, or Election ID card
Prizes may also be claimed via Nationalised, Scheduled or State / District Co-Operative banks. Take the ticket and the above documents, if required, to the bank. The bank will file the claim with the Director of State Lotteries with the follwing documents:
- Letter of authorisation from the winner
- Certificate from the receiving bank
- Certificate from the collecting bank
6. How long do I have to claim a prize?
Winnings must be claimed within 30 days of the draw date and the ticket holder must provide the necessary documents, including a claim application form, two passport photographs and a receipt for the prize money. You are also advised to sign the back of your ticket and include an address to prevent others from claiming winnings on your behalf.
