Alan Keating, for the second time in the past few months, made a brilliant hero call to win a massive pot.

The most recent one, on Thursday, occurred during the third and final session of the 2025 Hustler Casino LiveMillion Dollar Game, and he took down the pot against a familiar foe, Nikhil "Nik Airball" Arcot.

The $1 million buy-in cash game started off slowly. No monster pots occurred during the first couple of hours. But then Keating arrived, and the game took a complete 180, starting with one of the biggest pots played all week.

Action began with Airball raising to $6,000 from the lowjack with 65. Keating, holding 84, called from the big blind. Both players were thrilled with the 483flop.

Keating checked his two pair, but would check-raise from $5,000 to $35,000. Airball, who flopped an open-ended straight flush draw, called to see the 3pair the board on the turn.

Keating, still with the best hand, bet $60,000 before Airball raised it up to $230,000. The raise didn't get through, however, and a call was made. The Aon the river didn't improve either hand. But it did give Keating reason for concern, so he checked it over to his opponent.

Airball, who missed his draw and was stuck on six-high, refused to surrender the monster pot. He fired out a bet of $529,000. That sent Keating into the tank for about 10 minutes. But he would eventually come to the conclusion that his hand was superior, a correct assumption, so he made the hero call and scooped the $1.6 million pot, a crushing blow to Nik Airball.

Keating is no stranger to making tough calls to win massive pots. He made one of the best calls ever on High Stakes Pokerduring Episode 6 of the recently completed Season 14 on PokerGO.

The hand we're referring to started with Steve, who played Day 1 of the Million Dollar Game, raising to $1,400 with 86. Peter Wang, on the button with 63, called, as did Keating, who had 97in the big blind.

The A7Kflop gave two players a little something. Keating checked, and then Steve, who flopped nothing, bet $4,000. Peter went for a raise to $13,000 with a flush draw. Keating, who only hit bottom pair, re-raised to $41,000, receiving a call only from Peter.

Action continued to heat up on the 6turn, which improved Peter's hand. Keating fired out a bet of $58,000, and his opponent clicked back a raise to $175,000, but didn't get Keating to fold.

The 4on the river didn't improve either hand. Both players were stuck on small pairs with no cards left to come. Keating checked and then faced an all in bet of $235,000. He went into the tank facing a difficult decision, and he'd make the correct one by calling the bet to take down the $911,000 pot, one of the largest in High Stakes Pokerhistory.

Speaking of the largest pot in High Stakes Pokerhistory, that title goes to Keating, who scooped a $1.4 million pot during Season 14 against his rival Peter, who has appeared in all three Million Dollar Game sessions this week.

It hasn't been all big pot wins for Keating recently, however. He bluffed off a $1.9 million pot with queen-high on Monday to, you guessed it ... Peter.

At the time of publishing, Keating was up around $800,000 for the session on Day 3 of the Million Dollar Game, which is being livestreamed on YouTube.
