The Mahzooz Lottery is currently paused as of 31st December 2023 due to regulation issues. They are planning to resume draws at a later date, but nothing has been confirmed. The cost to play Mahzooz remains the same as before at AED 35 per line or entry; players may purchase multiple entries. Mahzooz is open to all participants aged 18 and over from around the world. Players take part by purchasing credits (previously called collectables) on the game's new advanced, secure online platform.

The Mahzooz draw takes place every Saturday night at 21:00 UAE Standard Time respectively. On draw nights, players must complete their purchase an hour before the draw time to participate that evening. The winning numbers are drawn from a mechanical machine that mixes the ball sets randomly. Draws are shown live on the Mahzooz website.

How to play Mahzooz

To start playing you need to choose which draw you are going to enter. You must choose five numbers between 1 and 49 on each entry into a draw. If you can't decide which numbers to play then you can let the Quick Pick randomly generate them for you. Players may also save sets of numbers as 'Favourites' - these can be played at any time simply by selecting them.

Next, choose the draw date you want to play.

Finally, buy credit on the website, up to AED 10,500 per purchase.

Check the results after the draw on Saturday at 21:00 UAE time to see if you've won a prize. Match all the numbers drawn to win a share of the jackpot.

Mahzooz Ticket Price

The way you buy a ticket for the Mahzooz lottery is unlike other lotteries. To play, you must buy one Product worth AED 35.00 through the official website. The product you buy is something that is typically donated to help those in need.

For each product you buy/donate (Al Emarat bottled water, for example) you are granted one entry into the draw. After selecting the number of products you would like to buy, you are then presented with a play grid which allows you to select your own numbers from, or opt for a Quick Pick. Buying one product activates one play grid, two products activates two play grids, and so on.

Prizes

Mahzooz offers a higher starting jackpot of AED 20,000,000 to be won every week. Each drawing has a total of three cash prize tiers for matching between three and five of the winning numbers.

• Match Five: Match all five numbers drawn to win a share of the grand prize that is set at AED 20 million.
• Match Four: Match four numbers to win AED 200,000.
• Match Three: Match three numbers to receive a guaranteed cash payout of AED 250.

Raffle

The raffle draw takes place alongside the Grand draw and gives out one prize of AED 1,000,000 to one lucky player. The raffle only picks out a number code on tickets that have been bought, meaning that the prize is guarnateed to be won by someone who has entered each and every week. Each week the name and nationality of the winner will be published on the results page, along with the raffle ID that won.

Claiming Prizes

If you've won a prize, you have 365 days to withdraw your winnings from your online account. For withdrawals of less than AED 300, there is a fee of AED 10 if you are withdrawing to a UAE account, or AED 20 for withdrawals to accounts outside the UAE. Fees are not charged on withdrawals over AED 300.

Jackpot winners (Match Five) are required to come to the UAE in person to collect their prize, as due to anti-money laundering regulations, the funds may only be paid into a UAE bank account. The Winner Services Manager will contact the player to discuss the claim process.

Second prize (Match Four) winners will also be contacted by the Winner Services Manager. Prize funds must be paid into a bank account.

Winners of the third prize (Match Three) can withdraw their prize money as soon as their online account is credited. Alternatively, winners may choose to keep the win in their account as credit to use for future plays.

Prizes are paid in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) and withdrawals are processed in AED; winners may be liable for fees such as for currency conversion.
