January is kicking off with some exciting firsts of the year for 888poker!
The team is already making moves with the start of the 888poker LIVE Madrid Festival, while the 888poker UKPL Portsmouth event is set to shuffle up and deal on January 21. And if that’s not enough, tomorrow marks the start of the XL Winter Series, the platform's inaugural major online tournament series of the year.
It’s safe to say that 2025 is off to a strong start for the iconic poker brand.
More Than $2M GTD in XL Winter Series
This edition of the XL Winter Series offers upwards of $2 million in guarantees and plenty of wallet-friendly buy-ins with massive GTDs to match!
The centerpiece of the series is the $888 buy-in, $1M GTD Mystery Bounty Main Event. With multiple ways to secure your seat—freerolls, social media contests, and satellites—this tournament promises to draw players of all levels.
And as always, the XL Series brings back a lineup of affordable Mystery Bounty side events, with buy-ins for the festival starting at $11.
The action kicks off on January 17, with Day 1 flights of the $1,000,000 GTD multi-flight Mystery Bounty Main Event already in full swing. Day 2 is set for January 27, with the final table streaming live on January 28 on the 888pokerTV Twitch channel.
This series is all about value, offering bargain buy-ins and incredible bang for your buck, with most tournaments priced at $55 or less.
Another highlight is the $109 buy-in, $150,000 GTD XL Winter #01 Mystery Starter Tournament. Day 1 flights begin tomorrow, leading up to Day 2 on January 20.
