Three or more consecutive cards of the same suit make up a run, while three or more cards of the same rank make up a set. Every round begins with each player receiving seven cards; the remaining cards are then dealt face down into the draw pile in the middle of the table. Next, the discard pile is started with the top card in the draw pile turned face up.
