The 2025 edition of the XL Spring Series heads to 888poker from May 18. Ten days and 54 numbered events later, the online poker giant will have awarded more than $1.5 million, including a cool half a million in the $250 buy-in Main Event. XL Spring Series buy-ins range from $5.50 to $1,050, and boast guaranteed prize pools from $2,000 to $500,000.

Seven events are scheduled for May 18, the opening day of the 2025 XL Spring Series. The biggest of those tournaments is XL Spring #05, a $109 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed progressive knockout.

The XL Spring Series continues daily up to and including May 27, with at least five numbered events and a handful of side events running. Players have the chance to test their skills across various tournament formats, including deep stacks, mystery bounties, PKOs, and more.

2025 XL Spring Series Main Event Has $500,000 Guaranteed

The $250 buy-in, $500,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty Main Event is the crown jewel of the XL Spring Series. Day 1s began on May 4 and run frequently until May 26, which is also when Day 2 occurs.

Each flight sees entrants sit down with 10,000 chips and play to a 15-minute clock where the blinds start at 20/40/5a. Play continues until only 11% of the field remains or the conclusion of Level 20, whichever comes first.

Players who progress to Day 2 return to their seats from 10:30 p.m. BST on May 26, which is when the mystery bounties come into play. One of those bounties tips the scales at a cool $50,000!

Day 2 ends once the eight-handed final table is set, with those finalists returning to the action from 6:00 p.m. on May 27, doing so under the watchful eyes of 888poker's excellent Twitch stream.

As of 12:00 p.m. BST on May 12, some 449 players have fired into the XL Spring Series Mystery Bounty Main Event, but only 51 of those have punched their Day 2 tickets at the first time of asking. "icho90" is the current chip leader having turned their fourth $250 entry into a tournament-leading 256,619 chips.

$100,000 Guaranteed in the $25 Buy-In Mini Main Event

As with previous 888poker festivals, the XL Spring Series features a mini main event, although nothing is really mini about it. 888poker guarantees at least $100,000 will be won in Event #49 despite the affordable buy-in of $25.

A handful of Day 1s are already in the bag, with more flights scheduled up to and including May 26. At the time of writing, 226 players have entered the $100,000 Mystery Bounty Mini Main Event, with 28 safely through to Day 2.

Chile's "ManzoRun" is the player to catch, having turned their 10,000 starting stack into 287,017. 888poker ambassador Ian "Simpioni" Simpson has also got off to a flying start, finishing his flight with 98,946 chips, enough for sixth place right now.
