It wouldn't be Day 3 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event if Nicholas Rigby didn't have a big stack.

The Pittsburgh poker player had over 140 big blinds at the first break on Tuesday afternoon. He's no stranger to spinning up a stack in the $10,000 buy-in World Championship event, and he's doing it the same way he's done it in the past — playing any two cards aggressively.

Rigby became an instant legend during the 2021 WSOP Main Event during the PokerGO livestream as he advanced beyond Day 4. Casual poker fans and pros such as Ben Lamb cheered him on as he introduced the poker world to his favorite hand — deuce-three — which he refers to as the "Dirty Diaper."

Rigby's unpredictable style of play hasn't changed in the past four years. He appeared on the Main Event livestream on Day 1, where he quickly spun up a big stack, bluffed off a large chunk of those chips, and then rebuilt multiple times over.

The fan favorite ended Day 1b with 92,900, about one-third of his stack earlier in the session. He'd triple his stack on Day 2 and has since built it up even further on Day 3, as of the time this article was published. Rigby said he didn't win any "diaper" hands on Day 1, but pulled off some bluffs with the deuce-three the following session.

Rigby finished 52nd out of 6,650 players in the 2021 WSOP Main Event. He took 131st place out of 10,043 players in 2023. His last deep run ended in a bad beat when he flopped top set only to lose to a gutshot straight hitting on the river. Had he won the pot, he would have gone from a short stack to over 40 big blinds.

Another deep run could be on the horizon, and perhaps this time he'll get over the hump and reach the final table. One thing is certain, and that is if he continues stacking chips, he'll be back on the livestreamed feature table before long.
