It has been three years since The Venetian Las Vegas hosted a World Poker Tour (WPT) event, but that hiatus ends soon. The $5,000 buy-in, $4 million guaranteed WPT Venetian Las Vegas Championship takes place between July 11-17 toward the business end of the Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series.

July 2022 was the last time the WPT stopped off at The Venetian Las Vegas. A star-studded field of 1,178 entrants created a $5,418,800 prize pool. Robert Mizrachi came out on top, capturing his first WPT title and earning $894,100, which remains the star's largest tournament haul.

Much has changed at The Venetian's poker room since Mizrachi lifted the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup in mid-2022. The new look Venetian poker room, aptly named The Poker Room, features 50 tables sprawled across a 14,000-square-foot space. Tommy Loras, Director of Poker Operations at The Venetian Resorts Las Vegas, echoed those changes.

"The Venetian Poker Room has been completely transformed since the last time the WPT was with us in 2022. Our new room, the largest on the Las Vegas Strip, provides players with an elevated experience, and adding the WPT Championship event to the DeepStack Championship Poker Series further expands the offering for players this summer."

$4 Million Guaranteed WPT Venetian Las Vegas Championship

The WPT Venetian Las Vegas Championship features a trio of Day 1s running from 11:10 a.m. local time on July 11-13. Days 2-4 shuffle up and deal at 11:00 a.m. local time before the final table is streamed from The Venetian's state-of-the-art stream room on July 17.

• Day 2 – 11:00 a.m. on July 14

Huge Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series Continues Until July 31

The Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series commences on May 19 and continues all the way through to July 31. Every event on the bustling schedule boasts a guarantee, including the $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em UltimateStack.

This tournament is the 61st event of the series. It runs from June 25-29, and has a $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool. Those who reach the final table will spend some time under the spotlight because PokerGO is streaming the action.

Three other events have seven-figure guarantees on their prize pools. The $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em MSPT has a $1.5 million guarantee. It runs from June 4-8. The second is another MSPT tournament running June 8-12 and costing $1,100 to enter.

$2 million is guaranteed to be won during the $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em Seniors event, which runs June 18-23. Like most Seniors tournaments, entry is limited to players aged 50 and over.
