On Thursday night, the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) hosted the 81st event in its history. It took place at South Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock as a part of the 2025 Poker Showdown, which will culminate with a $3,500 buy-in, $3 million GTD World Poker Tour (WPT) Main Event from April 4-8.

The CSOP $300 Larry Frank Memorial Charity attracted 140 entrants and offered up a $15,000 prize pool. Additionally, $24,200 from entry fees was raised for Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, plus additional funds from an auction.

Ultimately, it was Matthew Zarcadoolas coming out on top to claim a $5,000 first-place prize plus a seat into the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship. He also won a $1,000 bonus for being the chip leader at the first break.

The late Larry Frank, also known as “Mr. Frank,” was a longtime employee at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and was “instrumental in the success of tournament poker in South Florida.” As the SHRP blog stated: “Larry Frank was a member of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Before he passed in 2021, he worked for Seminole Gaming and Seminole Hard Rock Support Services for more than 25 years in various roles, including General Manager of Poker Operations at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and General Manager of Seminole Casino Classic.”
