Before proceeding, though, they have to make sure that every card they own—aside from one that can be thrown away—is a part of legitimate sets or runs. Until one player exits the game successfully or until every card in the draw pile has been used, the game goes on. The remaining unmelded cards are used to determine the players' scores after they reveal their hands.
