The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise is in the books, and over the course of the series 15 gold bracelets were awarded. The PokerNewsLive Reporting Team was on site throughout providing live updates, and during that time they caught some interesting and game-changing hands.
Here's a look at five hands of particular interest.
Hellmuth Bricks Combo Draw

In Event #5: $25,000 Dealers Choice Championship, it was Level 12 on Day 2 in a game of Omaha Hi-Lo when reporter Connor Richards wrote a big hand.
As recounted by the table, Aaron Kupin opened preflop and Phil Hellmuth called. Kupin continued on the flop of 8♥9♥3♦and called a check-raise from Hellmuth.
Hellmuth bet on the 2♣turn and Kupin raised to put the "Poker Brat" all in. Hellmuth called.
Phil Hellmuth: A♥AxJ♥10x
Aaron Kupin: A♦K♠2♥2♠
Hellmuth had a combo draw but didn't improve as the 9♠bricked off on the river to mark his elimination.
He was eliminated right before dinner break, but he had already eaten a sandwich earlier in the event as cameras crowded around to see him take a bite.
Seiver Goes Runner-Runner to Crack Negreanu's Aces

In the same tournament, it was Pot-Limit Omaha when Richards reported that Daniel Negreanu was all in for around 200,000 against Scott Seiver in a heads-up hand of Pot-Limit Omaha and he brought the selfie stick out.
Daniel Negreanu: A♠A♦9♣3♠
Scott Seiver: A♥A♣8♦4♦
Both players had aces but it looked like Negreanu could freeroll his way to victory as the flop of 2♥Q♠7♠gave him a flush draw while giving Seiver a whole lot of nothing.
However, the board proceeded to run out 4♥8♥and Negreanu gasped in disbelief as he saw Seiver had made runner-runner two pair to mark his elimination. Negreanu rushed to tell Eric Wasserson what had happened and quickly bought back into the event.
Quads for Keating

On Day 1a of the $25,000 Super Main Event, it was Level 8 (8,000/16,000/16,000) when reporter Josh Noy witnessed Alan Keating move his last 66,000 into the middle from under the gun and Felipe Ketzer made the call on the button.
"Yes," Keating exclaimed as Felix Neubauer moved all in from the big blind. Ketzer smiled while sliding his cards to the dealer, leaving Keating at risk heads up.
Alan Keating: K♠4♦
Felix Neubauer: A♦J♣
Keating found immediate help on the K♥K♦J♦, making trip kings while the 7♥turn changed nothing. The dealer then completed the board with the K♣on the river, giving Keating all of the kings while earning a double up.

Team Unlucky: Moneymaker Goes Runner-Runner to Bust Glantz

On Day 3 of the tournament, it was Level 23 (150,000/300,000/300,000) when Connor Richards saw Chris Moneymaker open to 600,000 in middle position and Matt Glantz three-bet jammed a stack of 1,950,000 from the small blind. Moneymaker called.
Matt Glantz: 10♦10♥
Chris Moneymaker: 9♦8♦
Glantz was in great shape with an overpair to Moneymaker's undercards, but the flop of 7♦9♥3♣gave Moneymaker some hope. The 6♥turn gave Moneymaker an open-ended straight draw and the 10♣river gave Glantz a meaningless set as Moneymaker made the straight.
Glantz is a member of Team Lucky, pulled a million-dollar bounty at the 2022 WSOP and finished fourth in last year's Paradise Main Event for $685,000. Unfortunately, his luck has run out in the Super Main Event.
Mizzi Turns Two-Outer on Kempe. The River Will SHOCK You

On Day 4 of the $25,000 Super Main Event, it was Level 28 (500,000/1,000,000/1,000,000) when Connor Richards reported that Rainer Kempe was all in for 7,400,000 from middle position against Sorel Mizzi in the small blind.
Rainer Kempe: J♦J♥
Sorel Mizzi: 6♥6♣
Kempe was in a great spot to double, but that changed as the board started 7♦4♦3♠6♦to give Mizzi a set. In a stunning turn of events, the dealer then put down the J♠on the river to give the German an emphatic double.

- Keep a careful eye on the cards they draw and discard because this can reveal important information about their hand. An opponent may be aiming for a particular set or sequence if they draw cards from the discard pile on a regular basis. Knowing these trends will help you modify your approach, either by obstructing their progress or by concentrating on other melds that might be less apparent to them. To become proficient at Kash Rummy, one must adopt this dual strategy of attack and defense. Because of how well they can form melds, some cards are worth more than others in kash rummy. 25-03-15

A standard 52-card deck is usually used for play, and two to six players can participate. Forming valid sets and sequences—specific card combinations that adhere to the game's rules—is the aim of the game. A sequence is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, whereas a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. 25-03-15

Psychological play is an additional sophisticated tactic that entails not only comprehending your own strategy but also forecasting the responses of your opponents by observing their patterns and actions while playing. An opponent may be holding onto similar ranks or suits if, for example, they seem nervous when you discard particular cards. Using this psychological understanding, you can influence their choices and open doors for yourself. Also, think about practicing rummy games other than Kash Rummy itself. 25-03-15

- These power cards include high-ranking cards that can finish several sets or sequences, as well as wild cards. Wild cards are extremely useful for completing challenging combinations because they can represent any card in the game. For example, if you have a wild card & two hearts, you can easily complete a set with any other rank or form a sequence with any extra heart. Using power cards wisely can greatly increase your chances of winning. For instance, think about holding onto a wild card until you can fully utilize its potential if you have it in your hand along with a number of other cards that are almost ready to form a sequence. 25-03-15

- A strong strategy that takes into account both offensive and defensive play is necessary for players to succeed in Kash Rummy. Focusing on creating sets and sequences early in the game is one successful strategy. Players can minimize potential points lost if another player declares Kash by concentrating on creating melds, which will decrease the number of unmelded cards in their hands. In addition to increasing your chances of winning, this aggressive tactic puts pressure on your rivals, making them modify their gameplay. Analyzing your opponents' moves is a crucial component of strategy. 25-03-15
